Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at highter educational institutions in Korea at graduate-level degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

The Representative Office of the Republic of Korea(hereinafter, the Korean Office) will select 3 Palestinian nationals.
[Required documents and Guidelines]
All documents should be the original copy. Please refer to the attached guidelines, forms and FAQs.
[Submission]
Please submit your application to Korean Office in Ramallah either in person during working hours or via post service by Friday, Mar 7th, 2025.

■When you intend to submit your application by post service, please clearly indicate 'GKS application' on the envelope (All Gaza applicants, wish to apply, may use the post service to submit the applicatioin including documents)
★IMPORTANT★ [Consular Confirmation]
All GKS required documents must be apostilled or get notarized by consular befor applying for GKS. Regarding the Palestine is not a member state of Apostille Convention all documents issued in Palestine, such as birth certificates, graduation certificates, etc., have to be trnaslated in English (if it is issued in Arabic) and get notarized by consular. STEP 1. Get documents notarized from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates(MoFA) in Ramallah. STEP 2. Bring those documents to the Representative Office of the Republic of Korea in Ramallah and request* for notarization by consular. Please come with your passport as well. ※Each type of document to request notarization costs $4. It takes around 2 weeks to get notarization done and ready. STEP 3. When the notarization by consular is done and ready, the Korean Office will call you to inform that your documents are ready at the Korean Office. STEP 4. Visit the Korean Office, check your notarized documents, attach them to GKS application and submit all of them to the Korean Office to apply for GKS. |

[QnA]
■We accept applicant's and parents' birth certificate as a Proof of citizenship and Family Relationship. If the applicant is not abale to submit parents' birth certificate due to their death, divorce, abroad or etc., it can be replaced by another documents prove status of divorce or death etc.
■All documents, that required notarization as above, need only one original copy to get notarization.
■For instance, if you prepare 4 copies of bachelor's degree certificate including 1 original copy and 3 copies, only such 1 original copy needs to get notarization.
■For Gaza applicants only, you may send original copies with stamps of ministry of foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Ramallah to get consular's confirmation(notarization) and the payment with all complete GKS application. When you send them by the post service, please specify what docuemtns you want to get consular's confirmation(notarization) and make sure that someone(post man etc..) could fill the notarization form* for you at our office. (* Form is only one page and required simple questions.)
